Science is not just a subject; it is a way of understanding the world Allah has created. By studying science, we uncover the wonders of nature, from the smallest atoms to the vast universe. Every scientific discovery reminds us of the greatness of the One Creator, Allah. The Quran encourages us to reflect on the natural world as a sign of His existence and power.
"Say, 'Travel through the earth and observe how He has begun creation. Then Allah will bring about the creation of the Hereafter. Indeed, Allah is competent over all things.''' [Quran 29:20]
This idea of seeking knowledge, of reflecting on the world around us, resonates with the thoughts of Allama Iqbal.
"magar wo ilm kai moti kitaabay apny aaba ki
jo dekhein un ko europe mein to dil hota hai sipaara" ~ Allama Iqbal
We all study science — big, heavy books filled with facts about the universe, humans, atoms, planets... everything!
They teach us who discovered gravity, who invented the light bulb, who came up with this law or that formula.
But one BIG question is always missing...
Who CREATED it all?
Yet our education system keeps praising the minds who found things —
and never mentions the One who created it all from nothing.
No chapter tells us Who made the atom, Who designed the planets,
Who gave humans a brain to even think?
Our education system fills our minds but leaves our hearts empty.
"Taleem ke taizaab mein daal us ki khudi ko,
Ho jaaye mulaa'im to jidhar chahe isy phair." ~ Allama iqbal
They tell us the "how", but ignore the "Who" behind everything!
"أَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ"
"Behold! To Allah belongs all creation and all command."
— Surah Al-A'raf (7:54)
So next time you're impressed by a scientific wonder, remember:
They may have discovered it — but Allah CREATED it!
He is the Best of all creators! 💫
The Role of the Qur’an in Understanding Science
The Qur’an is primarily a book of divine guidance, sent by Allah for spiritual, moral, and religious teachings. It is not a science textbook. However, in its verses, we sometimes find signs that align with modern scientific knowledge — to awaken reflection and strengthen faith. These insights help us appreciate the harmony between revelation and creation.
