Law of Conservation

The scientific principle of the Law of Conservation states that matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. This concept finds a profound parallel in Islamic teachings, where every action, word, and intention of a person is meticulously recorded and preserved by Allah. Just as energy is conserved in the physical realm, the Quran emphasizes that nothing escapes Allah's knowledge and record. Every deed, no matter how small or hidden, is documented and will be presented on the Day of Judgment. This divine recording serves as a moral compass, reminding believers that their actions have eternal significance and accountability

وَوُضِعَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبُ فَتَرَى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا فِيهِ وَيَقُولُونَ يَـٰوَيْلَتَنَا مَالِ هَـٰذَا ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَةًۭ وَلَا كَبِيرَةً إِلَّآ أَحْصَىٰهَا ۚ وَوَجَدُوا۟ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ حَاضِرًۭا ۗ وَلَا يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدًۭا

"And the Book (of Deeds) will be placed (before them); and you will see the criminals fearful of that which is therein. They will say: 'Woe to us! What sort of Book is this that leaves neither a small thing nor a big thing, but has recorded it with numbers!' And they will find all that they did, present before them; and your Lord treats no one with injustice."

[Quran 18:49]

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا۟ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

"Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register."

[Quran 36:12]

هَـٰذَا كِتَـٰبُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

"This is Our Record that speaks about you with truth. Indeed, We were recording what you used to do."

[Quran 45:29]

وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍۢ فَعَلُوهُ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ ﴿٥٢﴾ وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍۢ وَكَبِيرٍۢ مُّسْتَطَرٌۭ

"And everything they did is in written records. And every small and great thing is inscribed."

[Quran 54:52-53}

وَكُلَّ إِنسَـٰنٍ أَلْزَمْنَـٰهُ طَـٰٓئِرَهُۥ فِى عُنُقِهِۦ ۖ وَنُخْرِجُ لَهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ كِتَـٰبًۭا يَلْقَىٰهُ مَنشُورًا ﴿١٣﴾ ٱقْرَأْ كِتَـٰبَكَ كَفَىٰ بِنَفْسِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبًۭا

"And every person, We have imposed his fate upon his neck, and We will produce for him on the Day of Resurrection a record which he will find spread open. [It will be said], 'Read your record. Sufficient is yourself against you this Day as accountant.'"

[Quran 17:13-14]

وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ ﴿١٠﴾ كِرَامًۭا كَـٰتِبِينَ ﴿١١﴾ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ

"But verily, over you are appointed angels to protect you—kind and honorable—writing down your deeds: They know all that you do."

[Quran 82:10-12]

فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًۭا يَرَهُۥ ﴿٧﴾ وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍۢ شَرًّۭا يَرَهُ

"So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it."

[Quran 99:7-8]

يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ جَمِيعًۭا فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوٓا۟ ۚ أَحْصَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ وَنَسُوهُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌۭ

"On the Day when Allah will resurrect them all and inform them of what they did. Allah had enumerated it, while they forgot it; and Allah is, over all things, Witness."

[Quran 58:6]

إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌۭ

"There is no soul but that it has over it a protector."

[Quran 86:4]

وَنَضَعُ ٱلْمَوَٰزِينَ ٱلْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌۭ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَإِن كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍۢ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنَا بِهَا ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِنَا حَـٰسِبِينَ

"And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant."
